There is a grave shortage of PPEs in Malawi, our only option has been to ship them from the U.K. but that has been a challenge.
First we had to apply for an export licence as the export of PPEs to non-EU nations had been banned; once we had the licence we shipped the PPEs the next day only for them to be held in South Africa for 4 weeks “awaiting a flight”.
Finally the parcel arrived in Lilongwe and our team can work safely; this is our new world.
